TULUM, COBA, CENOTE & SUNSET DINNER ON THE BEACH

DETAILS   

A Perfect all day adventure to see two ancient Mayan ruin sites, a cenote and to top it off a fabulous dinner on the beach.  Your private van will arrive at your vacation rental early in the morning. You will venture south to the ruins of Tulum.  Tulum ruins are some of the most beautiful since it is located directly on the beach.  Here you will visit the site with a private guide (any language) whom will explain to you about the site and Mayan heritage that colonized Tulum.  After visiting Tulum you will make way to Coba ruins that are located in the jungle.  The driver will stop half way at a cenote where you can swim and enjoy a picnic lunch.  Cool down and get ready to bike (bike rentals), bike taxi (driver for hire) or hike through the vast jungle.  You will be accompanied with another guide to inform you on the area.  The ruins are beautiful and you can climb the highest peak of one of the ruins which overlooks the whole town.  Next you are on your way to the beachside town of Tulum where you will stop at one of our favorite restaurants, La Zebra.  Sip on cocktails made from fresh sugar cane, feast on fresh tasty cuisine and let the kids run around on the beach or jungle gym. After sunset the driver will bring you back to your vacation rental.

VALLOLIDID, CHICHEN ITZA & CENOTE

DETAILS   

Chichen Itza is the most famous Mayan ruin of all time.  Experience the ruins and make a couple stops along the way.  Your private van will arrive at your vacation rental early in the morning.  You will head south towards Tulum where you will take the highway across to the Yucatan Peninsula.  Along the way you will stop by Vallolidad, an old colonial town with some fabulous spots to eat.  Soon after you will reach Chichen Itza where you will see what everyone has been talking about!   Hike around the ruins with the guide and explore the beauty of what the ancient Mayans created.  After being in the heat at Chichen Itza you will cool down at a local cenote.  Change back into clothes and you are on your way back to your vacation property.  If you would like to stop for dinner on your way home it is entirely up to you... just let your driver know.

MUYIL, JUNGLE & FLOAT

DETAILS   

This is a fantastic tour of the small ruins of Muyil, a look into the Mayan water channels for trading, lazy river float and authentic fresh food.  Your driver will pick you up at 7:30am at your vacation rental.  First stop is the historical center where you will learn about the chicle (gum) tree and how they harvested the sap from the trees. Next you will go on a guided tour of the Mayan ruins of Muyil where your guide will tell you all about the medicinal uses of plants and the Mayan ways.  You will have a light snack and then it is time to go on a Panga boat.  You will drive through the lakes in the reserve of Sian Ka’an to the small spring fed channels.  You will make a stop at one of the Mayan ruins along the way and jump in the perfect 72 degrees Fahrenheit crystal clear water.  Sit back, relax and let the river take you through the mangroves for about 45 minutes.  After the float you will walk way through the marsh reserve to the boat.  Here you will them make your way back to the point of entry.  It is time for a fabulous lunch at the large palapa
